JANIS POWERS brings critical insights to Longitudinal Health Care from her decades-long career as a health care strategy and operations consultant. She served as a Senior Manager with Deloitte and the VP of Strategic Operations for Avanza Healthcare Strategies, a firm focused on the outpatient market. Her expertise lies in operationalizing health care strategies that tie financial performance to improved care delivery. She is committed to leveraging technology to transform health care, with a keen appreciation of both its power and its limits.

Janis is recognized for her unique perspectives on the health care industry. She hosts The Powers Report Podcast, which covers health care strategy, operations and policy. Her work has been published in national journals and media outlets, and she was a 2019 SXSW speaker. Her bestselling book, Health Care: Meet the American Dream, was the inspiration behind creating Longitudinal Health Care.

Janis majored in Architecture at Yale and earned Master’s degrees in Architecture (With Honors) and Business Administration from the University of Michigan. She enjoys traveling, exercising and spending time with her two children.

CYNTHIA KINNAS has been a recognized expert in the healthcare industry for over 30 years, focused on the largest expenditure for healthcare facilities, which is labor.  She co-founded Clinical One, the predecessor to Randstad Healthcare, and held executive leadership roles with both organizations. Cynthia is currently on the Board of Directors and serves as Treasurer for Travelers Education Group which underwrites and operates the annual Travelers Conference for over 1,400 attendees.

Cynthia is also the former Chairman of the Health Care Section of the ASA (American Staffing Association) as well as a founding board member and former president of NATHO (National Association of Travel Healthcare Organizations). She served on the Editorial board of Healthcare Traveler, and was listed in Staffing Industry Analyst’s Top 100 in Staffing in 2011-2014.

Cynthia earned a B.A. in International Relations from United States International University-Europe in the U.K. In her free time, Cynthia enjoys running, hiking, and traveling with her husband and two sons.
Nicole Latimer

NICOLE LATIMER has 30 years of health care industry experience with specialization in population health management, health system growth strategies, and employee and patient education. She has broad experience in SaaS and app development and delivery, having managed consumer, workflow, and analytics applications for patients, analysts, clinicians and executives.

As the former CEO of StayWell, a health empowerment company that uses the science of behavior to positively impact health outcomes, she drove the company’s strategy and growth. StayWell was sold to WebMD in 2020. Previously, Nicole was SVP of the Crimson Clinical Advantage division of The Advisory Board Company. The Advisory Board was acquired by UnitedHealth’s Optum in 2017. Prior to The Advisory Board, Nicole was a Manager with Deloitte.

Nicole earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from Dartmouth College. She holds Master’s degrees in Business Administration and Health Care Management and Policy from the University of Michigan. Nicole enjoys skiing, running, and spending time with her husband and two sons.

CHRIS MOOSE is a Partner in IBM’s Healthcare Practice where he has over twenty years experience in the health care industry. He helps his clients navigate emerging trends such as Artificial Intelligence,  Blockchain, and the Internet of Things and provides a significant international perspective having managed his clients’ technology operations and implementations in over 60 countries.

Outside IBM, Chris served as the Board Chairman for Any Baby Can, one of Austin’s largest non profits focused on family health issues. There he was responsible for the agency’s performance against government contracts, expanded the agency’s private insurance earned income revenue and advocated for children’s issues.

Chris graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Management Information Systems and the University of Georgia with an M.B.A. in Marketing. His health care policy perspectives are available via his Twitter account, @MooseChris. When not working he enjoys spending time with his wife, two high school sons and playing tennis.

DR. ERIC WEAVER is the Executive Director of the Accountable Care Learning Collaborative, a national organization of  industry leaders charged with identifying dramatic health care reform opportunities. Previously, Eric served as the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Transformation for Innovista Health Solutions and as the President and CEO of Austin, Texas-based Integrated ACO – one of the most successful physician-led Accountable Care Organizations in the country.

Dr. Weaver has been honored by receiving the ACHE Robert S. Hudgens Award for Young Healthcare Executive of the Year and the Modern Healthcare “Up & Comers” Award in 2016. In addition, he was named to Becker’s Hospital Review list of “Rising Stars: 25 Healthcare Leaders Under 40” in 2015, and awarded the Young Alumni Rising Award from Texas State University.

Dr. Weaver earned his B.S. Magna Cum Laude and a Master of Health Administration from Texas State University. He received his Doctor of Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina. In his free time he enjoys music, traveling, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
